Live-in dementia care in familiar surroundings

For someone living with dementia, routines, familiar surroundings and trusted relationships may be particularly important. Live-in care can support daily activities, companionship and personal care at home, depending on a professional assessment of needs and risks.

How Livenza helps you choose

Livenza's CQC-managed live-in care is operated by Homelium Care Limited. The care team discusses your circumstances, preferences, communication needs and the experience required, and aims to shortlist 3–5 appropriate carers.

  1. Tell us about your loved one. We discuss routines, interests, care requirements and what helps them feel at ease.
  2. Review suitable carer biographies. Consider relevant experience, training, availability and suitability.
  3. Meet potential carers by video. Ask questions and explore the personal connection before choosing.
  4. Agree a managed care plan. The registered provider assesses needs, manages the care arrangement and reviews care as required.

What can a live-in carer support with?

Everyday life

Personal care, meals, hydration, household routines, activities and reassurance, according to the agreed plan.

Consistency and companionship

Familiar routines, social connection and respectful communication, with care adapted as needs change.

Questions families often ask

Is live-in dementia care suitable for everyone?

Not always. Suitability depends on a care assessment, the home environment, behaviour-related risks, overnight needs and the support available. Some circumstances require additional or alternative services.

Does a live-in carer provide 24-hour continuous work?

No. Live-in carers require agreed breaks and rest. Where regular waking-night support or two-person care is required, this must be assessed and arranged separately.

Can we choose the live-in carer?

Yes. You can review the profiles of suitable potential carers and speak with them by video before deciding who feels right, subject to availability and safe matching.

Where do you arrange live-in dementia care?

We welcome enquiries across the UK, including Surrey, Hampshire, Dorset, West Sussex, Kent and Essex. Availability and the registered provider's coverage are confirmed during the enquiry.
